WORKSHOP ZONE 1: OPENGUNE

F2P Campus Academy - Learn How to Create Professional Videogames without Programming

Language: Spanish

Speaker: Carlos Coronado

Description of the workshop:

This is a practical workshop on videogame creation. Participants do not need prior knowledge and may follow the facilitator’s instructions. They will end the day creating their first videogame without the need to program. It will use one of the most widespread free videogame engines on the market, so that the lessons learned may serve participants to continue their activity of videogame creation. Thus – solely depending on their personal efforts – they can manage to create quality videogames publishable on the market, like those created by the workshop instructor, which have achieved great international recognition on the market.

What audience does it address?

Youth and adults interested in an initiation to videogame creation, whether amateurs or professionals.

Brief Speaker CV:

Highly successful indie videogame developer. The creator of "Koral" (Switch, PC), "Infernium" (PS4, Switch, PC), "Annie Amber", "MIND: Path to Thalamus" and "Warcelona".

TDD Kata

Language: Spanish

Speaker: Inigo Delgado Morales

Company: Ibermatica

Description of the workshop:

Katas are programming problems designed to practice the most basic elements of programming and TDD. This is done in pairs in any programming language (except brainfuck and Ook!) and entails leisurely problem-solving, without pressure, sharing solutions, problems encountered and other things.

What is important in katas is to communicate and learn from one another. No extensive knowledge of TDD is required, not even a companion! Just know how to program.

WE RECOMMEND BRINGING A LAPTOP WITH YOUR PREFERRED IDE CONFIGURATION. However, it is not necessary for everyone to bring one: this is done in pairs, and the organizers also provide laptops (albeit not prepared for every language, but for Js (node), Java, Python or Kotlin). This will not be a barrier to anyone.

What audience does it address?

This addresses anyone who likes programming. Some very basic knowledge of programming is recommended, but nothing more: we are going to learn, have fun and get acquainted with new people and new points of view.

Brief Speaker CV:

Over 15 years learning how to program professionally on all sorts of mobile, desktop, web and other environments.

What audience does it address?

Creating ‘Motion Graphics' Videos with PowerPoint

Places are limited, so it is required to register here.

Language: Spanish

Speaker: Daniel Arrilucea

Company: Independent professional

Description of the workshop:

'Motion Graphics' videos or animations are videos that create movement based on texts, forms, images, drawings, graphs, etc. Considering that PowerPoint is capable of handling and animating these kinds of elements, it is a possible base for creating content with these features in video formats.

The traditional way of working with PowerPoint based on slides and physical presentation may be changed, using these slides as scenes and animating a series of elements in them that give the sensation of movement, to support the story we wish to tell.

The purpose of the workshop is to learn how to reuse the classic knowhow about PowerPoint presentations to adapt them and use them in producing a video capable of conveying an idea, project, product or service, for use and publication on websites, social networks or any other medium.

This objective can be achieved through practice. Different points of knowhow will be gradually applied based on a theoretical introduction, to aid assimilation through practical examples directly done on the computer.

What audience does it address?

Sales and marketing managers, managers and, in general, professionals from any sector with a basic knowledge of PowerPoint who want to learn a different way of approaching the tool to create animated video.

Brief Speaker CV:
